International session stylist - John Mullan started his career in Belfast. After moving to London John went onto found Stone Hair – which is recognised as the  best salon in Kingston Upon Thames. Alongside building his own philosophy and education for Stone John is very much in demand for session work, regularly working on international publications such as L’Officiel, Zoo Magazine, Saints Magazine, Client, Wylde, Phoenix Magazine, 55 Pages, Vision China, Quality Magazine, Pop magazine, Factice, I love Fake, Let Them Eat Cake, Fiasco, Wallpaper, Kurve, Blanc,1883, Client Magazine, Hedonist Magazine, Vanity Teen, Nylon, Dazed & Confused, Kaltblut, Homme style, Superior, Open Lab, Platinum Love, Volt, Drama, Slink, Papercut, Fw Magazine, Mode Magazine, F-tape, VV Magazine, Hot Hot Mag, XoXo, Boys by Girls, Idol and most of the Sunday supplements. Additionally John has worked at London, Paris, Milan and New York Fashion week. Shows include George Chakra, Vivienne Tam, Gregory Parkinson, Luisa Beccaria, Alexander Berardi, Gabriel Colangelo, Tina Turk & Naomia, Le Pearla,Runway, Timo Weiland, Yama Baroshi and Monika Chang. John has also been the lead hair stylist on various music videos, fashion shows, look books and advertising campaigns such as Versace 1969, Topman Generation Magazine and NU Textiles.

John Mullan has worked with many celebrities, styling  Ana Beatriz Barros,Lily Cole, Union J, VV Brown,  Iggy Azalea, Carmen Chaplin, Aiden Grimshaw, Zebra Katz,The Courteeners, Karin Park, Ben Whishaw, Toby Stephens, Jade Thompson, Ellie Goulding and Louise Thompson.

In 2012 John collaborated with fashion photographer Ram Shergil on his book ‘India Fantastique’ published by Thames Hudson. John has worked with many talented and established photographers throughout his career including Ellen Von Unwerth, Olgac Bozalp, Emre Dogru, Gabriela Antunes, Cecilie Harris, Laetitia Negre, Amberly Valentine, Alexandra Leese, Leanne Trigg, Nihat OdabasiAnja Frers, Tenashia Carr, Josheph Sinclair, Alexandra LeesePaulina Otylie, Jennifer Endom, Georgie Wileman, Jenny Brough, Tony Kim, Elliott Morgan, Lucia O'Connor McCarthy, Vasilisa Forbes and Iakovos Kalaitzakis.  John believes in the craft of hairdressing & likes to put his own angle on it. He has always enjoyed taking his own path and is all about progression, education, evolution and moving forward. John likes to create an environment where the present soon becomes the past.
